Hamish’s $8m goodbye from Ten
While Hamish McLennan may left Ten on an upwards trajectory, his exit certainly didn’t do his personal finances any harm.
Numbers released by Ten today reveal that McLennan received a total of more than $2.4m in termination benefits. On top of his normal salary and benefits, the 2015 financial year saw McLennan clock up a total of $8,040,923 – well up on the previous year’s package of $2.5m.
It wasn’t too bad a year for Hamish’s successor as CEO Paul Anderson either. The network’s former chief operating officer trousered $1.7m, up from $1.1m.
And the success of programming boss Beverley McGarvey was also rewarded, with a cash bonus of $112,500 topping up her package to nearly $1.2m.
The TV industry certainly likes to reward its winners.
loose definition of the term ‘winners’ there mumbrella.
12m EBITDA loss – wouldn’t call Ten ‘winning’
