Can’t say I’ve ever been a massive fan of Merrick and Rosso, but what a bloody great interview. Raw, truthful and totally absent of bullshit.
Well done Rosso, all the best with the future.

“I gave my thirties to DMG” – yes Rosso, and they gave you millions of dollars in return.
Cry me a river.

Everyone’s saying how “refreshing” it is to have a former radio host talk about the industry so honestly. But Rosso said his breakfast radio show got to “number one”….. I must have missed it, but when did he beat Alan Jones at 2GB? Merrick and Rosso were NEVER number one – check the ratings. Not so honest now, is it.
Talk about deluded.

Phil, I think he was referring to FM…

I couldn’t agree more with Oh Please. Hearing Rosso talk in injured tones about how DMG took his thirties and how hard it was, makes me want to stab myself in the eye. He was not only paid millions, but no doubt pandered to and cossetted by the evil DMG because he was their greatest star at the time. Tim Rosso might have left radio, he still very much has suffers from Massive Radio Talent Ego Syndrome.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think he is paying out on DMG? He’s done an admirable job not to scorch the earth, saying only that radio was a major part of the last decade of his life, and left him ‘tired’ in the end.
Some commenters seem to be suggesting that Rosso shouldn’t complain, considering the money he made. What rot. Whether it pays ten or ten million dollars, if your job isn’t fulfilling, why would you lie and pretend that it was?
