Seven’s My France With Manu sinks as the ABC rings up win with The Checkout
The Seven Network’s My France with Manu saw its audience drift away this week in a soft night for free-to-air television with the schedule dominated by news and current affairs.
But the ABC topped the night in general entertainment with The Checkout at 8pm luring 686,000 metro viewers, narrowly beating Seven’s My France at 7.30pm, which drew 663,000, down from its 2015 average of 820,000. Last week My France with Manu had 713,000 viewers.
Meanwhile the Manly Sea Eagles v Parramatta Eels NRL game drew 429,000 in Sydney and Brisbane on Nine.
Seven News at 6pm lead the night with 1.036m viewers ahead of Nine News at 6pm with 981,000. Seven News/Today Tonight was the third most viewed program of the night with 960,000 and Nine News at 6.30pm was fourth with 902,000.
Network Ten’s Gogglebox drew 590,000 down from 629,000 viewers last week.
In main channel audience share Nine won the night with 21.8%, Seven had 17%, Ten 14.4% and the ABC 12.8%.
