Just Desserts continues Seven’s ratings winning run after Olympics
Seven has continued its winning run after the Olympics with the premiere of Zumbo’s Just Desserts earning it an audience of 1.081m, outstripping the second night of its reality rivals The Block and Survivor.
The latest twist on the cooking format, Zumbo’s Just Desserts at 7:30pm managed to hold the number one spot for the key advertising demographics of 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.
Australian Survivor on Ten at 7:30pm was down 6% from its premiere on Sunday, engaging an audience of 734,000, while on Nine, The Block dropped 11% from its premiere on Sunday to Monday, with 961,000 viewers tuning in.
Seven locked out the top two slots with its news at 6:00pm drawing a metro audience of 1.275m, followed by Seven News and Today Tonight at 6:30pm with 1.254m.
Seven network won the night with an audience share with 22.1%, a decrease from last week’s 25.3%.
Channel Nine and the ABC achieved an audience share of 19.3% and 19.0%, respectively – an increase from their tied audience share of 14.9% last week.
Seven’s final Olympics broadcast, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony attracted a metro audience of just 614,000 as the network closed off two weeks of coverage.
