Hywood is a very confused person. On one hand he wants to claim that Fairfax has made the transition to a new business model via its traffic on smh.com.au and the age.com.au. On the other he says it’s all about the valuable demographic that Fairfax has always had relative to the News Corp titles.
Let’s see: the AB highbrows that used to read The Age and the Herald are the key to the model? And the model is based on the huge traffic that comes to the lusty web sites. Right.
