Jackie O tops Radio Today’s list of the industry’s most influential woman
Kiss FM’s Jackie O has topped Radio Today’s list of the most influential women on the FM band.
Jackie O’s nomination follows her and breakfast co-host Kyle Sandilands being nominated as the most influential duo in Australian radio in Radio Today’s list released last September.
Radio Today’s September list nominated 49 men and 19 women as being the most influential in their field.
In the announcement, Radio Today said: “We also factored in the thoughts of leading radio programmers, and we took into account market size and the competitive landscape. The final result is a list for which the industry can be proud.
These ten remarkable women (and the honourable mentions that follow) have real star power. They are engaging, smart, assertive, driven and brilliant communicators. Five days a week, they are delivering the laughs, the ratings, and are leading the way for other women to succeed in the radio industry.”
Coming second on the list was Fifi Box, co-host of Melbourne’s Fox FM breakfast show with Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke.
Making up the list’s top five were WS-FM’s Amanda Keller, Hit’s national drive show co-host Kate Langbroek and Nova’s Chrissie Swan.
