Avoid heroin
Good advice for both life and Australian movie making. Some of our best films have been built around a landscape of drugs and violence […] there is a very strong feeling from investors off the back of audience reaction to such films that suggests […] heroin is so passe.
Peter Helliar’s advice on how to write a film script.
Helliar also recommends ‘watching a lot of movies’, ‘ask someone for Final Draft software for your birthday’, ‘don’t put big car chases in your movie’ and ‘show your script to people you trust’.
If only it were that simple, Mr. helliar.
I went to a conference the other day…a trailer for I LOVE YOU TOO was shown..everybody groaned with nausea, I think somebody even vomited…I wish Heliar would take some Heroin get into a car chase and run over some film snobs, maybe he might learn something and stop being a cheesy twat!!! The man couldn’t write a bank cheque let alone a film script but he sure could cash a cheque from Screen Australia…what a waste of our $$$…go get a hug from Rove, it’ll be okay Pete
