Channel Nine tops the night despite drops for Reno Rumble and Love Child
Nine’s reality offering Reno Rumble and drama Love Child saw audiences tumble on last week’s outings, but the channel still had enough in the tank to grab the biggest audience share of the night.
Masterchef on ten topped the night with 1.145m viewers at 7.30pm, dropping from last week’s 1.204m, while House Rules (756,000) on Seven held up better than Reno Rumble, which dropped 150,000 viewers on last week’s outing to 674,000.
Love Child also saw 116,000 viewers vanish from last week’s season high, but was still the biggest non-news or reality show with 816,000 viewers at 8.30pm. Last week’s show also picked up a bumper 225,000 on time shifted viewing, taking it to 1.152m metro viewers, according to OzTam ratings.
While Nine grabbed the winning share of 19.5 per cent Ten topped Seven with 18.8 per cent to 18 per cent, with ABC languishing in fourth on 11.2 per cent.
After House Rules seven saw a double episode of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares from 8.45am pick up on last week with 584,000 and 466,000 viewers respectively, up from 510,000 and 447,000 last week.
Ten showed NCIS after Masterchef and got 743,000 viewers at 8.30pm, down slightly on last week’s 752,000, while The Project at 7pm also crept into the top 15 shows with 643,000 viewers.
Nine News topped the 6pm bulletin battle with 1.105m against Seven’s 1.054m, and only fell marginally to 1.102m at 6.30pm as Seven News and A Current Affair pulled in 950,000.
