David Jones hands PR business to The Mint Partners

Retail giant David Jones has handed its public relations account to lifestyle agency The Mint Partners.

The announcement:

David Jones has announced strategic lifestyle agency, The Mint Partners, as their Communications Agency. The win cements the agency’s market position as a leader in the prestige lifestyle space. The agency will first work alongside the talented David Jones communications team on June Clearance, an in-store appearance by celebrity designer Nicole Richie and their Summer Fashion Launch.

Account Director, Lisa Marie Hunt, has joined The Mint Partners team to work on the David Jones account alongside accomplished Account Manager, Alice Ford. Hunt most recently worked as an Account Director at Hothouse Media, Melbourne and prior to this worked on the publicity team of Marks & Spencer in the UK.

In May, the agency completed its fourth year working for IMG on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA). This year, the agency managed all media liaison for the show including Style Hong Kong, and amplified the event partnership between MBFWA and one of their other long-standing clients, leading Hunter wine brand Tempus Two. The agency managed red carpet designer Johanna Johnson’s association with the naming partner of MBFWA as she became the 2012 Mercedes Benz presents show at MBAFW.

Johnson resides within the agency’s high end fashion portfolio alongside luxury Swiss watch brand IWC. The agency has proved itself adapt in the luxury space managing the front of house seating for the collection launches of an international French fashion house in Sydney and Brisbane as well as electronic media for the launch of the Louis Vuitton store in George Street, Sydney in 2011.

The agency also boasts an enviable and growing list of travel clients including the award winning Art Series Hotel Group, The Byron at Byron Resort & Spa and new clients Tower Lodge and QT Port Douglas.

The agency, owned by Brett Galvin and Genevieve Taubman began on Taubman’s kitchen table in 2007. Born out of a shared passion for the communications sphere and sharing a strong reputation in the food, hospitality and wine categories, Galvin and Taubman have grown the business organically through word of mouth and reputation.
