Elizabeth Minogue ends 12 years at MCN taking new role as executive general manager of REA

MCN HeadshotsOnline property website REA Group has hired senior MCN executive Elizabeth Minogue to be its new executive general manager for media and property related services.

The move brings to an end Minogue’s 12-year stint with MCN, where she is currently director for integration and content partnerships with clients including Foxtel, Discovery, the BBC, Sky News and Turner.

“We are delighted to have someone of Libby’s calibre on our team. Her experience in this field is unparalleled and we are looking forward to her contribution as our business evolves to meet changing market dynamics,” said Tracey Fellows CEO of REA Group, in a statement.

“The REA Group is a multinational digital company who, like MCN, is a market leader in its field, driving ongoing growth and innovation,” said Minogue.

“The opportunity to lead the media and property related services business – including having responsibility for product design and delivery, sales and marketing – will allow me to deliver new media strategies, providing value to REA Group’s highly engaged consumers. It is an incredible business and I’m excited to be part of it.”

At the start of September Network Ten’s sales team was integrated with MCN as part of a deal between the two companies, which saw Minogue put in charge of a new Ten team in the Multiply unit.

“It goes without saying, we are sad to lose Libby from our team,” said Anthony Fitzgerald CEO of MCN. “We thank her for the enormous value she has added over the past decade and wish her great success in her new role with REA Group.”

Minogue will join the business in December.

The announcement follows the recent appointments of Sarah Turner as REA group general legal counsel and company secretary, as well as Andrew Rechtman in the role of executive general manager, residential.

MCN said it will announce a replacement for Minogue’s role and responsibilities in the coming months.
