Rohan Lund appointed COO of Foxtel
Former Seven executive Rohan Lund has been appointed chief operating officer of subscription television operator Foxtel.
CEO Richard Freudenstein announced the long rumoured appointment this afternoon saying Lund’s brief would include focusing on innovation.
“I am delighted that an executive of Rohan’s calibre has chosen to join Foxtel’s leadership team. Rohan has deep experience across many consumer platforms and
he will add new strength to Foxtel’s innovation,” said Freudenstein.
Lund is a former COO of Seven West Media and before that was CEO of Yahoo!7. He resigned from Seven West last month ahead of a major executive restructure.
Freudenstein also announced the promotion of Gavin Dumsday to the role of chief financial officer, who replaces Peter Tonagh who moved to News Corp Australia in August.
“Gavin has been a key finance executive at Foxtel for ten years and will bring extensive knowledge, passion and commitment to his new role. We have exciting plans to keep Foxtel
at the forefront of television and both Rohan and Gavin will be central players in our future,” said Freudenstein.
Lund’s move from Seven to Foxtel was first tipped by the Financial Review.

Good luck to Rohan, from all accounts a decent man.
Lets see what Tim Worner does with Yahoo7, the weakest link for Seven West.
