Missing Persons Advocacy Network tells the stories of missing people in outdoor campaign
Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN) is telling the stories of missing people in a new out-of-home campaign to remind the public about the people behind the statistics to mark National Missing Persons Week.
Too Short Stories, created by Grey Melbourne, is an outdoor campaign featuring posters depicting missing people’s stories displayed in the last place each person was seen.
Loren O’Keeffe, founder of the Missing Persons Advocacy Network, said: “A member of the public has already come to us with information, prompted by seeing one of the stories in her neighbourhood. Who knows where it will lead, but (the fact that) this initiative is making that kind of impact is incredible.
“One hundred people are reported missing in Australia every day. Their lives, and those of the people left behind who care about them, have been put on hold; their stories cut short.”
The stories of the campaign will be published as a book, to be made available for sale by the end of next month, while a series of podcasts will promote the book. All funds raised will go to MPAN to provide support to those left behind.
