Soccer team celebrates defeat with KFC’s 9 for $9.95 Tuesdays
KFC has launched a series of new ‘Shut up and take my money’ campaigns celebrating its ‘9 for $9.95 Tuesdays’.
The one minute ad shows a soccer team coming off the field having just lost the match, while the coach consoles the players he sees an ad in the paper for KFC’s 9 for $9.95 Tuesdays saying “shut up and take my money”.
The coach proceeds to share a bucket of chicken with the somber team resulting in a celebration from the losing soccer team.
Ogilvy is KFC’s creative agency or record.
A shorter 15 second ad accompanied by a series of six second ads have also been released.
The fast food chain has also promoted its ‘Gravy Mashies’ in a drive thru battle between two mothers and daughters.
In one car is a mother and daughter laughing after the daughter has won a dance competition, while in the other car the mother and daughter dance to hip hop music showing off their Gravy Mashies.
Quality… I love this campaign
