Mumbrella Awards 2019 entries now open
Entries for Australia and New Zealand’s biggest media and marketing awards, the Mumbrella Awards, are now open.
There are 30 categories in total for the 2019 awards spanning people, campaigns, agencies, marketing teams and ideas with one of the most rigorous judging processes to decide the eventual winners.
A group of judges comprised of over 100 senior industry leaders will conduct live judging on May 22 at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, involving entrants presenting their award submissions and additional information directly to the judges.
For entrants into the Creative Agency of the Year and Media Agency of the Year awards, a judging panel will visit the shortlisted agencies on May 21 for media agencies and May 23 or 24 for creative agencies. The process has seen the judging panel travel to Brisbane, Melbourne and even Auckland in previous years.
Last year, in order to promote transparency, Mumbrella introduced a policy of publishing winning entries verbatim. This initiative will continue in 2019 with a series of articles celebrating the work of winners, accompanied by the winning entry’s submission.
Almost 450 entries were received in 2018 with the TV Ad of the Year, Mumbrella Award for Innovation and Under 30 Achiever of the Year proving to be some of the most popular awards.
Big winners for 2019 included The Monkeys winning Creative Agency of the Year, CHE Proximity taking home Media Agency of the Year, Clemenger BBDO’s Nick Garrett earning
