Media Merchants named as Total Tools’ media agency
Media Merchants has become the media agency of record for Total Tools, Australia’s largest independent tool retailer, following a competitive tender process.
The agency will be responsible for media strategy, planning, buying and implementation across the Australian market from 1 July.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with one of Australia’s most exciting specialist retailers, Total Tools,” said James Fitzgerald, Media Merchants’ managing director.
“Darren, Matt and their broader team share a great passion for retail which is something that runs deep in our organisation. We look forward to assisting them as they continue to grow the business across Australia”.
Total Tools’ general manager of marketing, Darren Gunton, added that Media Merchants’ track record made it the “clear choice”.
“Media Merchants have a long history of assisting great Australian retailers in achieving their growth ambitions. Their dynamic, full-service retail offering, deep understanding of the regional marketplace and unmatched agency stability made them a clear choice for us,” he said.
And a special mention should go to their outgoing agency 360DMG who have taken their brand from strength to strength and went well beyond their agency scope doing store launches, running activations and producing creative.
Word on the street is that Media Merchants agreed to hand over all the media comms back to TT and work for a very small retainer.
Whatever it takes to win business in 2019.
