Nissan names Blanca Garcia as VP of communications in Asia and Oceania
Nissan has appointed Blanca Garcia as its vice president of communications, effective 15 January.
She will be responsible for strengthening the automotive brand’s reputation and maximising its presence across the region, along with handling internal communications strategy.
Based in Bangkok, Garcia will report to Yutaka Sanada, regional head of Nissan, in the new role. Most recently, Garcia led Nissan’s communications in Latin America, first joining the brand’s European outpost in 2014, where she led internal communications at Nissan and external communications at the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.
In a statement, Nissan noted Garcia’s 25 years of experience leading communications teams across various continents, including as a consultant for the European Union and managing director of a market research company.
She replaces Lavanya Wadgaonkar, who was promoted to general manager and head of global corporate communications for the company.
