Foxtel Media and SportsTG end a six year partnership
Foxtel’s sales arm, Foxtel Media, has ended its relationship with integrated sports technology company SportsTG after six years.
Foxtel’s sales and brand partnerships director, Martin Medcraf, confirmed the pair were ending the partnership and wished the SportsTG business all the best.
“Big thanks to SportsTG for a successful partnership over the last 6 years. As our businesses move forward in different directions we wish the SportsTG team all the very best,” said Medcraf.
Mumbrella understands the split was amicable and occurred towards the end of 2019.
Anthony Richardson, director of digital – Stack Sports, SportsTG’s parent company, APAC/EMEA said: “Stack Sports (SportsTG) has enjoyed a successful exclusive partnership with FOXTEL media. As Stack Sports grows and we refresh our product set we will work with multiple partners to evolve our business.”
SportsTG was launched by News Corp Australia following a merger between Fox Sports Pulse and IMG Sports Technology. The technology was launched to be used by sporting organisations across Australia, New Zealand and the UK with CEO Glen McGoldrick at the helm.
SportsTG is now owned by American company Stack Sports. In 2017 it was acquired by Blue Star Sports, which was then acquired by Stack Sports.
Stack Sports offers technology solutions to a range of Australian sporting organisations including the AFL, Basketball Australia, Touch Football Australia and Hockey Australia, as well as supporting state level organisations and clubs.
Foxtel Media recently renewed its advertising agreement with NBC Universal.
