Marty Smiley and Nat Damena release new podcast Housewarming

Comedian Nat Damena and journalist Marty Smiley have launched a new podcast about sharehouse living, Housewarming.

The announcement:

Housewarming is a share-house confessional where housemate hosts Marty and Nat hear people’s craziest stories of shared living.

From dead plants to dodgy landlords, from pillow pooping pets to housemates that never flush. They’ll go where many podcasters have dared not to!

Hosted in a Newtown sharehouse, each week the podcast will explore different aspects of housemate etiquette with some fellow renters including Nina Oyama, Becky Lucas, Cam James, Lucinda ‘Froomes’ Price, the Betoota Advocate, Jenna Owen (Freudian Nip), Cam Walker (Struthless) and many others.

Marty and Nat’s ongoing house issues will be resolved while also delving into their guests.

Together, boundaries will be tested, secrets uncovered and mysteries will be solved. It’s all on a quest to find out what we’re like to live with…

Why?

Australian young people (18-30) have the world’s second lowest home ownership.

Like many other millenials/zoomers, Marty and Nat may never own a house, they’re destined for a lifetime of shared living, which means years to come of dodgy landlords, no long term lease security, boxes that never get unpacked, stoves that don’t spark, lights that don’t light, weevils in the weetbix and cockroaches colonies in the bathroom!

You’re invited over to Marty and Nat’s house: Wednesday February 10th.

*Season one of Housewarming is every Wednesday till May.*

Watch your step, they’re about to unearth some of the best stories from a generation of frustrated young Australian’s, doing their best to keep the lights on.

Door’s open, come on in.
