The Voice pips The Block on Sunday after Seven secures another week
The Voice Australia topped entertainment on Sunday in a narrow victory over The Block which saw the latter format crack the million metro viewer mark for the first time this season.
Seven’s The Voice had 1.088 million metro viewers, just ahead of Nine’s The Block with 1.032 million metro viewers, although the latter won all three key advertising demos.
The conclusion of The Voice’s semi-final has left four artists/groups competing for the winner title, which will take place this Sunday, 12 September.
Ten’s Australian Survivor aired to 689,000 metro viewers, ahead of its finale this Sunday which will go up against the finale of The Voice.
Seven’s Homicide: With Ron Iddles, brought in 567,000 metro viewers, while ABC’s Bluey broke the top ten with 459,000 metro viewers.
The Bledisloe Cup, game three on Nine, had a disappointing 339,000 metro viewers.
Topping all programming on Sunday was Seven News with 1.139 million metro viewers, beating Nine News Sunday with 1.112 million metro viewers.
Seven won the night with a network share of 33.7%, over Nine’s 29.8%, while Ten had 17.4% and ABC had 13.2%. Seven was also the #1 primary channel, and 7Mate was the #1 multichannel with 3.8%.
Seven also kept up its impressive run of weekly share wins, showing no sign of slowing off the back of the big ratings delivered by the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, winning another week.
The network has a 34.4% share, ahead of Nine’s 26.6%, Ten’s 17.1% and ABC’s 14.9%. Seven was also the #1 primary channel with a 22.8% share, and 7Mate was the top multi-channel on 6.6% across the week thanks to the Tokyo Paralympics.
