Hamish & Andy get their own station with Caravan of Courage Radio
Austereo’s Today Network has launched digital station Caravan of Courage Radio to follow drive time hosts Hamish & Andy on their trip around Great Britain and Ireland.
It will be the fourth Caravan of Courage trip taken by the duo which have included the US, Perth to Brisbane and Melbourne to Darwin, but until now it has not been broadcast on a dedicated digital radio station.
Caravan Courage Radio is live and will air until June 11. The station, which is running 24 hours, features a mixture of snippets from Hamish & Andy’s previous trips, music – and as of May 31 the duo will commence broadcasting from Europe.
They will also showcase their adventures in a one hour special on Network Ten in mid-June.
Listeners can access Caravan of Courage on Austereo’s Hamish & Andy website or on digital radio.
Austero has previously launched digital radio stations including one dedicated to US pop star Pink and another for rock band AC/DC.
Jeremy Macvean, Austereo head of digital strategy, recently featured on the Mumbo Report where he spoke about switching off analogue radio and creating digital radio formats for brands.
That’s the most stupid host I’ve ever seen – is he being ironic?

Love to know when the boys will be in Glasgow. I’ve been living here since January except for trip home to Melbourne at Easter (stuck by ash cloud) and would love to follow their progress.
