Artist collaborates in Maggi Pad Thai posters
Publicis Mojo and artist Laurindo Feliciano have collaborated to create artwork for a poster campaign promoting Nestlé’s Maggi Fusian Pad Thai noodles.
The campaign features three posters warning the the noodles ‘may cause fiery fantasies of flaming dragons’, ‘a wild mirage of warrior monks’ or ‘blurry visions of blue elephants’ with accompanying illustration.
The brand launched in 2011.
Creative director Michael Dole said: “We were incredibly lucky to work with Laurindo, who added his own brilliant ideas and imagination to bring the concept to life.”
The campaign includes outdoor, digital and in-store activity.

Thailand is a Buddhist country. Ganesha, the God styled as an elephant, is from Hinduism. The dragon motif is Chinese, which is officially non-religious but mostly Confucianist. I guess we’ll have to made do with the warrior Monks, which is not at all a cliched view on an historically significant religious tradition dating back 2,600 years.

Shaolin ‘warrior monks’ are Chinese which leaves the tigers…

Am I missing something …. Do the blue elephants and firey dragons appear before or after eating ?

They probably paid Laurindo Feliciano a mint to help make posters that are both confusing (credit @patrick) and essentially a simple photoshop ‘cut & paste’ job.
You’re selling Noodles people! A classic example of where a creative agency has become highly involved in a low involvement product and completely missed the point.
So, it’ll apparently screw with your head – but does it taste any good?

I suspect the hallucinations are from the sodium and chemicals…
