Pumpkins and promotions
Dr Mumbo is a fan of the campaign to promote Aussie horror comedy 100 Bloody Acres, which has been focused on building up the fictional brand Morgans Organic (slogan: “We’ll fertilise ya!”).
There’s a Facebook page and Twitter profile along with an appropriately low-fi Morgans Organic website, radio and TV ads. As Mumbrella reported last month, the kudos goes to content agency Loud & Clear.
Dr Mumbo particularly likes two details. First, the mobile phone number that appears in the ad is worth calling.
And second, check out the name of one of the people who appears in the Yandoit News report – one Sam Schembri.
No relation, Dr Mumbo is sure,to Jim Schembri, the not-always-beloved-by-film-makers former critic from The Age.
Dr Mumbo hopes the film gest appropriately big box office when it opens next month.
