Masterchef dips below 1m on second outing as The Voice stays steady with 1.4m viewers
Ten’s Masterchef slipped below the 1m viewer mark on its second appearance, posting a metro audience of 949,000 as Nine’s The Voice remained steady drawing 1.409m metro viewers.
The cooking reality competition was the most-watched show amongst viewers aged 16-39 while The Voice won in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.
Seven’s House Rules, up against Masterchef and The Voice in the 7:30pm time slot, pulled in 666,000 metro viewers.
Nine won the evening with an audience share of 24.8%, ahead of Seven’s share of 16%. Ten claimed third place with a share of 15.1, while the ABC had a share of 14.6%.
Nine’s 9:00pm one-off, Adele Live in New York City, drew a metro audience of 830,000.
On the ABC, 7.30 was watched by 709,0000, Australian Story (8:00pm) grabbed 683,000 metro viewers, Four Corners (8:30pm) had an audience of 797,000, Media Watch (9:20pm) drew 756,00, while Q&A was watched by 555,0000.
In the news battleground, Seven News at 6:00pm was watched by 1.158m, slipping to 1.094m from 6.30pm. Nine News at 6:00pm pulled in 1.149m, sliding to 1.107m from 6:30pm.
