Robb Report launches new augmented reality app
Lifestyle and luxury magazine Robb Report has launched a new augmented reality app named ‘The Experience’.
The application works in conjunction with the magazine’s digital print editions and aims to enhance the digital experience.
360 degree walk-throughs, videos, 3D augmented reality content and extra material are all features of the application available to readers.
Consumers are able to use the app by hovering their device over an interactive article and tapping ‘scan now’ – which appears on the home page.
One of the interactive pages will allow readers to try on jewellery and design and see inside their own Ferrari by deciding the colour trim and dissecting the engine.
Michael Stahl, editor-in-chief of Robb Report Australia, said: “Our launch of the app is a response to the growing demand for digital experiences in publishing. By seamlessly integrating our magazine, website and app functions with the latest in digital technology, Robb Report Australia is creating the ultimate luxury experience for readers – and in a unique and more intimate way, transforming the old experience of perusing glossy pages into something that feels real.”
The app is available via the App Store or Google Play where readers can also purchase subscriptions to the magazine.
