Ikon Group Sydney retains Horticultural Innovation Australia

Ikon Group Sydney has managed to hold onto the Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) media services account, after a competitive tender process.

Hort Innovation, which includes Australian Bananas, Australian Avocados, Australian Mushrooms and Aussie Apples, has worked with Ikon for the past eight years.

The media services business includes strategy, data, media planning and buying services, with Ikon’s partnership now extended for an additional three years.

Marketing lead for Hort Innovation, Graeme Yardy, said of Ikon’s win: “We are pleased to continue growing the success we’ve had in building our iconic brands on behalf of our growers, by partnering with Ikon for the next three years.

“This will allow further development of our plans to drive consumption of Australia’s fresh produce industries.”

Ikon Group Sydney chief of integrated services Natalie Musico said the win reaffirms Ikon’s offering.

“With each year of our partnership with Hort Innovation, our offering has grown and evolved: this includes our team and the work we produce for them. In turn, Hort Innovation has entrusted us with more and more responsibility for its communications requirements,” he said.

“It continues to be a privilege to deliver communication services for Hort Innovation’s great range of industries, especially with these growers representing makes up such a critical part of Australia’s economy.”

The win follows the launch of the full-service campaign for Aussie Apples, which included new brand positioning and a TV and social campaign by Ikon.
