Teeny Tiny Stevies partner with National Landcare Network for Earth Day children’s album

Today is Earth Day, and Melbourne-based kids band Teeny Tiny Stevies have released a new record aimed at teaching lessons of sustainability from an early age.

They’ve partnered with the National Landcare Network, which will see one tree planted for every copy of The Green Album sold, available as a recyclable Activity Pack rather than a CD.

“When we feel judged we just tune out; it’s the last thing you want,” Beth Stephen, one half of the duo, points out. “As a parent with young kids especially, it feels like I’m only just keeping up – the last thing I need is someone scolding me for not having my keep cup!”

With the record’s focus on climate change and the environment, the Activity Pack includes an invitation to encourage families to join their local Landcare group, fostering a legacy of environmental stewardship for future generations.

“With all this bad news about warming and associated weather events, Beth and I got to a point where we were like, ‘Ah man, I feel panicked and I don’t know what to do about it’,” Byll Stephen reveals of Teeny Tiny Stevies’ headspace going into creating The Green Album. She heeded the advice: start where you are.

“We were like, ‘Alright, we’re songwriters; that’s what we can do!’”
