Facebook’s US car boss joins Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit program
Facebook’s top executive focused on the car industry will travel from the US to speak at Mumbrella’s Automotive Marketing Summit in Melbourne next month.
Based in Detroit, the spiritual home of car manufacturing in the US, Thomais Zaremba is director of product marketing for automotive at Facebook.
The event takes place in Melbourne for the first time on March 19, two days after the Australian Grand Prix.
Zaremba will offer advice on how marketers can turn around falling sales without increasing marketing spend, as consumer behaviour changes.
Zaremba, previously worked at Ford in the US for almost two decades, in roles including head of digital marketing and media.
At Facebook, she leads the development and implementation of the company’s product and marketing strategy for partnering with automakers, dealers, and industry partners.
Meanwhile, Pacific Magazine’ head of insights, Rebecca Alexander-Head and client strategy director, Emma Baston, will share new research around the way Australians purchase cars. From shifting cultural norms such as Australia’s high rates of pet ownership, to concerns about environmental impact, the way Australians purchase cars is changing dramatically, the research covers the attitudes of a survey of 1,500 car-buying Aussies.
The program for the event is now online. Other speakers include:
- Ellie Norman, marketing and communications director, Formula 1
- Terri Golder, CMO, Renault Australia
- Jonathon Webb, 2016 Bathurst 1000 winner and founder of TEKNO Group
- Matteo Ortenzi, CEO, Lamborghini APAC
- Diana Di CEcco, general manager of marketing, Repco
- Bella Katz, general manager, group marketing, Zagame Automotive Group
The summit takes place on March 19 at the Sofitel Melbourne. Earlybird tickets, offering a saving of $100, are available until this Wednesday.
Are you sure “endemic” is the intended word here?
“of the company’s product and marketing strategy for partnering with automakers, dealers, and endemic partners.”
