Verizon Media appoints new head of platform sales, Andrew Gilbert
Andrew Gilbert has a new gig, becoming head of platform sales for Verizon Media in Australia and New Zealand.
Back in April, Gilbert was appointed as commercial director for audience data analytics service Eyeota.
He’s also spent time at Integral Ad Science (IAS), Vodafone and Ikon Communications.
He will now be responsible for driving the adoption of Verizon Media’s demand-side platform (DSP), as well as overseeing enterprise sales and service.
Verizon Media is the publisher of the Yahoo-branded websites and the parent company to Yahoo Mail.
Gilbert is replacing Liz Adeniji, who departed in August to become the financial services regional sales director for Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud product.
Director of platforms, John McNerney, into whom Gilbert will report, said his new hire had an impressive background.
“Verizon Media DSP is part of Verizon Media Platforms suite of enterprise tools. We’re dedicated to building a team that supports this customer-centric technology and empowers our clients,” he said.
“We’re excited to have Andrew join the team, armed with an impressive background in data-driven marketing, and look forward to the value and impact he will add to our business and team.”
Gilbert added: “I’m looking forward to joining the passionate environment at Verizon Media as well as being surrounded by a team that wants to achieve groundbreaking things. As a powerhouse with so many tools and resources available, I’m excited to be part of a company that is challenging and disrupting the marketing industry.”
Then this year, Oath rebranded as Verizon Media.
Congratulations Andrew!
