APN Outdoor secures digital signage in Melbourne’s CBD loop stations
APN Outdoor has secured the rights to sell digital cross platform rail signage in Melbourne’s CBD loop stations. It follows recent screens in Sydney CBD stations.

APN Outdoor, Australia’s leading outdoor advertising operator, has secured the exclusive rights to sell Australia’s first digital cross platform rail signage in Melbourne’s CBD loop stations.
With 34 screens to be installed over the coming months at Melbourne Central, Parliament Station and Flagstaff station, the combined potential audience of these stations is over 100,000 commuters per working day.
Each LED screen measures 1.5 metres x 2.6 metres and is located on the walls directly opposite the platform, providing a truly captive audience for advertisers. Offering significant creative flexibility, advertisers have the option of full animation as well as the added benefit of sound.
Passengers can also interact with the screens via their mobile phone.
Richard Herring, CEO of APN Outdoor said: “APN Outdoor continues to expand its digital screen network and these latest cross platform digital assets provide advertisers with the ability to reach a highly valued commuter audience with different creative messages across the day and even across different markets.”
The new digital screens at will be available to advertisers from 1 May 2012.

I have seen these screens operating at Melbourne’s Central Station on platform 3 and they are very effective and truly look great.
