Redundancies at BMF
Top Australian ad agency BMF has made a number of redundancies.
The agency’s boss Jeremy Nicholas said that a “handful” of people have left the agency, attributing the departures to “the changing nature of the skills and structure required across the business.”
He said that those leaving had been offered roles in other areas of the agency, but they had declined these offers.
The last reported redundancies at BMF came in February as a result of falling client spend.
BMF has been hiring in other areas of the business, bringing in ex-AdNews editor Danielle Long as brand and content manager, staffing up its new photography studio and bringing in Ricci Meldrum as managing partner in Melbourne from Clemenger BBDO last month.
it was always reported that goodby lost the cba account but in reality bmf also lost a huge amount of business when it left for m and c. not sure why this escaped comment amid all the hoo ha surrounding the move.
