AFTRS launches multiplatform content course
Australia’s arts and broadcast school has created a new course aimed at recognising the growing importance of online video and social media to content creation.
AFTRS – the Australian Film, Television and Radio School – has created the Graduate Certificate in Multiplatform Content qualification to enable producers create content that works across several platforms.
Peter Giles, AFTRS’ director of digital media, told Mumbrella: “”What’s clear is there is a huge appetite by global audiences for rich media content and we need skilled producers to start the conversations.”
According to the course description: “Students will learn to tailor content for emerging media platforms such as convergent television, broadband web and mobile devices and focus on alternate reality games, episodic social media and other emerging entertainment formats which utilise a combination of platforms to engage audiences.”
