G Adventures appoints Helm as new PR partner

Today, G Adventures, a small group adventure tour company, announced their new partnership with Helm to lead their public relations strategy in Australia and New Zealand.

G Adventures has long been an innovator in community tourism, which are travel experiences led by the local residents of an area. Helm’s role will focus on spreading awareness of these authentic local-based experiences to new audiences.

Additionally, Helm is tasked with showcasing G Adventure’s commitments to empowering the local communities they tour in and ensuring sustainable tourism practices in the areas.

Sean Martin, managing director for Oceania at G Adventures said: “This partnership will help us to have even greater impact by reaching a wider audience of people who share our passion for travel that gives back to local communities.”

Martin emphasised that Helm’s expertise in the travel and tourism industry, as well as their aligning values, ensure they can work together to “change people’s lives through travel.”

In a time when Australians are getting so excited about overseas travel that they’d be willing to quit their jobs, Helm will be working to build on G Adventure’s Oceania brand presence and perception by audiences.

Rachel Jones, Helm’s director and co-founder said: “We feel privileged to have been appointed by G Adventures to drive awareness of the incredible experiences and community tourism projects its dedicated team has been delivering for over 30 years.”

Jones reaffirmed Martin’s statement of the two company’s aligning values and visions. “We hope to shape a brighter future for the travel industry, fostering a deeper sense of responsibility and connection with the world as we explore.” she said.
