Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit returns for 2024

The annual Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit is returning for 2024, with two sessions already confirmed for the conference’s roster, including a masterclass delivered by a Singapore-based EVP.

Scheduled to take place at 12-Micron, Sydney on July 25, 2024, the gathering of marketing and finance leaders is designed to shed light on upcoming solutions the aforementioned professionals can use to secure reliable clients, and stabalise themselves, during an era where the cost-of-living crisis places crushing pressure upon society.

Already, the sessions currently locked in for the day are set to uncover how going against the grain can result in a bounty of benefits.

The talk, ‘Doing Well by Doing Good: How Inspiring Inclusion Benefits Society & Business’, will be delivered by Mastercard’s executive vice president and head of marketing and communications (APAC), Julie Nestor.

With a career that has seen her business and marketing expertise garnered from working in Australia, Hong Kong, and her current base of operations, Singapore, Nestor will be delivering a masterclass in how Mastercard injects inclusivity and authenticity into its campaigns to strengthen its overall business.

Meanwhile, HCF’s general manager of marketing, Tatiana Papavero, and Clemenger BBDO’s chief strategy and experience officer, Simon Wassef, are officially joining the summit’s lineup of speakers with the session, ‘How HCF Rewrote the Marketing Rules of the Health Insurance Category’.

Specifically, Papavero and Wassef’s session will pull back the curtain on HCF’s unorthodox marketing strategies, discussing how and why unveiling HCF’s processes for the masses tapped into customer emotions and garnered more business.

Together, Wassef and Papavero’s careers have covered various industries (advertising, supermarkets, insurance, etc.) and countries (Australia, the Netherlands, the United States, etc.); delegates can expect to leave their session with a deeper appreciation for finance marketing that taps into human emotion.

Last year’s summit was a bonafide success, offering delegates impactful moments, such as VMLY&R’s chief strategy officer declaring that “empathy is not f*cking nice, it’s valuable” for financial marketers, and a behind-the-scenes look into how an international fintech company was able to create a memorable in-house creative campaign for Australians.

Tickets for the Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit are available now, with the earlybird date being June 14.
