Studio 10 recognises 75th birthday of media pioneer Ita Buttrose with This Is Your Life special

Ten’s morning show Studio 10 has staged a tribute to the life of its co-host Ita Buttrose, who celebrated her 75th birthday this week.

Buttrose pioneered women’s magazines in Australia including as the founding editor of Cleo, before going on to edit the Australian Women’s Weekly and The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, the first women to take the helm of a major metro newspaper.

Buttrose was named Australian of the year in 2013 and joined Studio 10 in the same year.
