Woolworths tell stories of The Odd Bunch vegetables range in new animated campaign
Woolworths is promoting its Odd Bunch range, which sees imperfect vegetables sold in-store, with an animated campaign telling the stories of the disfigured produce.
The 15-second spots, created by Leo Burnett Sydney, highlights how the imperfect vegetables are fine to be eaten and ends with the tagline: “choose taste over waste”.
The range was introduced in Woolworths in December last year, with a campaign featuring Jamie Oliver running in February to launch it.
This idea has already been done (in a much better way) with the “Inglorious Foods” campaign in France which won a silver at Cannes this year for Creative Effectiveness.

Harris Farm rip off much?

So all of Woolworths vegetables are not imperfect?

This is making me angry. All vegetables should be treated with respect. To even suggest that appearance can prevent a carrot going on a date or a lemon winning a beauty contest is just plain wrong. All vegetables are created equal.

Its pretty easy to steal ideas from cannes when they were presented over a year ago. Just saying. Oh and by the way I will be buying my veg from harris farms, or the local farmers markets.
