Perth radio ratings: Mix dominates Perth with progress for Nova
Perth’s Mix94.5 continued to dominate the listening audience while its Southern Cross Austereo stablemate 92.9 had the greatest share of under 39-year-old listeners, according to Nielsen’s latest audience ratings.
Mix94.5 had an overall 14.3 per cent share of the audience, up 0.1 ratings points on the previous survey.
Mix 94.5 remains ahead of Fairfax Media’s 96FM’s 12.5 per cent – which was a lift in audience share from its last survey of 11.7 per cent.
In the battle for breakfast, Mix94.5’s The Bunch took a share of 14.9%, moving past ABC 720’s Eoin Cameron’s 13.8 per cent share.
Mix 94.5’s domination also extended to drivetime with a 14.2 per cent share, putting it ahead of 92.9’s 13.6 per cent share..
Meanwhile, DMG Radio Australia’s Nova grew its share from 10.1% to 11.1 per cent, given the station the network’s biggest share. Programming chief Paul Jackson said: “We couldn’t be happier in Perth. They have the champagne out with an 11.1 per cent share because the demographics are brilliant – and every part of daytime is up one land a half per cent,” he said.
