Dr Mumbo has been impressed to see that at least one brand hasn’t given up on print advertising, with lucrative double page spreads for Apple appearing in the pages of Fairfax and (he thinks) News Corp newspapers over the last few days.

Indeed, Apple is the only brand Dr Mumbo can think of that’s recently been buying DPSs.

smug cult appleWhich makes it intriguing timing for the SMH to go big on the “smug cult of the Apple Store” as its top technology story.

It’s good to see that commercial considerations aren’t influenceing Fairfax editorial. But Dr Mumbo does wince on behalf of the sales team.
