The smug advertiser
Dr Mumbo has been impressed to see that at least one brand hasn’t given up on print advertising, with lucrative double page spreads for Apple appearing in the pages of Fairfax and (he thinks) News Corp newspapers over the last few days.
Indeed, Apple is the only brand Dr Mumbo can think of that’s recently been buying DPSs.
Which makes it intriguing timing for the SMH to go big on the “smug cult of the Apple Store” as its top technology story.
It’s good to see that commercial considerations aren’t influenceing Fairfax editorial. But Dr Mumbo does wince on behalf of the sales team.
You have to ask was that article so important they had to print it now….or was it just some hack showing “editorial integrity”…

It’s just some harmless click bait. Not a very funny article but people will click on it. I’m certainly not going to pay fairfax a subscription to read that sort of stuff though.
