RSPCA Animal Rescue delivers for Seven, while Nine’s Customs beats out ICU
The series return of RSPCA Animal Rescue helped Seven into the number one spot last night, but the return of Nine’s observational documentary Customs beat out Seven’s ICU in the 8pm time slot.
RSPCA Animal Rescue was the third most-watched programme with 1.2 million viewers, according to overnight OzTam data in the five metropolitan markets. However, last year it averaged 1.4 million.
Seven also took out four of the top spots for the evening, with Today Tonight and Home and Away attracting 1.2 and 1.1 million viewers respectively.
Meanwhile, Nine’s game show Hot Seat hosted by Eddie McGuire, brought in 525,000 viewers, inching ahead of Sevens Deal or No Deal which attracted 518,000.
Overall in total free-to-air TV viewing, Seven won the night with a 27.8 per cent share, while Nine followed with 25.5 per cent and Ten with 20 per cent.
