Red Agency wins Turismo Chile account

Red Agency has won a tender to promote Turismo Chile at the Good Food and Wine Show in a bid to attract Australians to the South-American country.

The announcement:

Red Agency has built on its travel and hospitality credentials, winning a competitive tender to work  with Turismo Chile promoting its appearance at the Good Food and Wine Shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth over the coming months.

Pablo Javier Retamal, Turismo Chile´s Asia-Pacific Markets Manager, said it is important to have the right partner as Chile makes a more determined push to attract Australians to the South American country.

“We look forward to working with Red Agency on this exciting project to showcase the taste of Chile. With nine weekly flights Sydney-Santiago, Chile is Australia´s gateway to South America. To understand Chile´s rustic sophistication, tourists must give themselves time to travel within this land of contrasts,” said Retamal.

“Red Agency has an impressive track record and brought the most innovative ideas and PR strategy to the table which is why they were chosen. We’re confident they will help us show Chile in the best light to Australian travellers.”

The project kicks off in Melbourne this Friday, followed by shows in Sydney and Perth well into July.

Red Agency Melbourne Principal Grant Titmus said: “Chile is often left off travel plans when going to South America. But we want to work with Turismo Chile to showcase all the wonderful things about the country.”

What’s more, as part of Red Agency’s campaign, Australia’s very own Chilean born beauty, Pia Miller, will play an ambassadorial role for the food and wine festivals.

Red Agency was Australia’s most awarded PR agency in 2013 and in 2014 has already won four awards at CommsCon including PR Agency of the Year and recently won a coveted Black Pencil at the D&AD Awards, the UK’s premier industry awards.
