Aus Post uses multicultural version of anthem Up There Cazaly for new AFL ad

A re-recorded version of  Mike Brady’s footy anthem ‘Up There Cazaly’ performed by people from across the world forms the backbone of Australia Post’s new push around the AFL.

Australia Post, the diversity partner of the AFL, has launched the new ‘Change Our Tune’ ad through The Shannon Group and Bengar Films, which highlights the many cultures fans of the game are drawn from.

The commercial shows people from Italian, Greek, Irish, Indian, African, Indigenous and Pacific Islander backgrounds singing the song in their own cultural style, ending with some of them saying to camera “when we change our tune amazing things happen”.

Australia Post’s general manager of marketing and community relations, Andrea Pearman, said: “The ubiquitous nature of our organisation means we serve a diverse set of customers, all of whom contribute to the rich fabric of our nation.

“Serving the Australian community is our reason for being and our purpose is to help our people, customers and communities build a better future, no matter where they come from.”
