Cadbury appoints Ogilvy Melbourne to its creative account

Cadbury has chosen Ogilvy Melbourne as its creative agency of record following a competitive pitch process.

Incumbent agency Saatchi and Saatchi, which held the account for five years, will be transitioned out of the current relationship with Cadbury over the next few weeks.

Saatchi and Saatchi produced work for Cadbury including ‘Joyville‘ and ‘Dominos’.

The incumbent agency also produced the well know ‘Everyone has their favourites’ television campaigns.

Ogilvy Melbourne will handle the local Cadbury and Cadbury Dairy Milk campaigns for Australia and New Zealand and will also look after the Favourites, Roses, Coco, Old Gold, Cherry Ripe, Picnic, Twirl, Crunchie, Boost and Moro brands.

Ogilvy has a global relationship with Cadbury and works with the brand in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Canada.

Ben Wicks, global brand director of Cadbury, said in a statement: “Cadbury is one of our most iconic brands and we’re excited to partner with VCCP and Ogilvy to write the next chapter in the brand’s famous advertising history.”
