Tourism Queensland recruits international bloggers
Bloggers from Canada, the US, Malaysia, Australia, Germany and the UK with a combined readership of 2.5m have been chosen by Tourism Queensland to blog about the area.
They were selected from 767 entrants to the Great Barrier Reef Queensland Blogger Correspondent competition to spend five days in the state with Australia’s number one blogger, Darren Rowse of problogger.net.
The bloggers specialise in topics such as motherhood, food, photography, travelling, men’s lifestyle and diving.
Tourism Queensland CEO Anthony Hayes said in a press release: “In between blogging training sessions with Darren, the 10 winners will have the chance to cuddle up to some of Tropical North Queensland’s native animals and taste local cuisine including fresh seafood from the Great Barrier Reef.”
“They will also sail and snorkel the Reef; visit the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and explore the Mossman River with an Indigenous guide, to name a few experiences. Our aim is to show them our unmatched world-class tourism experiences and inspire them to promote Queensland to their expansive networks through their first-hand stories, photos and videos.”
