The Age signs up Myf Warhurst
Melbourne paper The Age is to revamp its back page from Monday as part of a staffing shakeup that will also see Spicks And Specks star Myf Warhurst join as a columnist.
In an email to staff of the Fairfax Media paper, editor-in-chief Paul Ramadge said:
“From Monday, we introduce a new back page for the News book on weekdays. It will be edited by Kylie Northover, who moves to the role after a successful stint as Deputy Editor of EG.
“In other moves: Lawrence Money continues to write for the page but will take on a broader role as a senior writer; Suzanne Carbone writes a new column called Postcode 3000; Dan Ziffer returns to the paper as contributing editor of a column focused on Melbourne’s social scene; Myf Warhurst joins us as a weekly columnist.”
He added: “We set out to have a bit more fun as we explore the lighter side of life in Melbourne.”
The paper is looking for a deputy editor of its EG section.
good to see.
myf used to edit inpress YEARS ago … (around 97 from memory) and it was a great read (and still is)
I was so disappointed to hear that Myf Warhurst would be writing for The Age. Despite being quite naf and annoying she is really just one of those dull girls at high school that became a music girly swot in order to have something interesting to talk about at parties. She’s not interesting and hearing what she has to say about music in those ridiculous ABC promos is bad enough but now her bland musings on everyday life will regularly feature in The Age. Last straw for me I’ll no longer buy The Age.
