Bad Moms debuts at number two as Suicide Squad stays that the top of box office

Bad Moms, the female response from the makers of The Hangover, debuted at number two at this weekend’s box office, but the $3.244m in takings was not enough knock Suicide Squad out of the top spot.

The alternative superhero movie continued to defy bad reviews, taking $5.939m over the weekend to lift its total box office to $23.148m.

Sony’s The Sausage Party opened at number three with $2.506m, ahead of Jason Bourne with $1.883m and Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie with $1.417m.

Star Trek Beyond ($374,641) Ghostbusters ($345,400), both continued to see audiences shrink.
