Seven’s The Real Full Monty to return with all female lineup
Seven’s one-off special The Real Full Monty will return in 2019, this time with an all female lineup.
Described as a ‘sister’ commission, The Real Fully Monty: Ladies’ Night will see eight female celebrities put together a performance to raise awareness for women’s health.
The announcement comes a week after the premiere and encore screenings of The Real Full Monty, which saw Shane Jacobson, Campbell Brown, Matt Cooper, Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones, Jett Kenny, Sam Mac, Kris Smith and Brian ‘BT’ Taylor all ‘strip-down’ for men’s health awareness. The show was based off the 1997 film The Full Monty.
Seven’s show pulled a metro audience of 1.027m, while nationally that number climbed to 1.579m.
A statement from Seven said the women involved would need to “battle to overcome their nerves and inhibitions, learn to love their bodies and raise awareness for women’s health”.
“The standard has been set [by the men] and the ladies will have a lot to prove when they take to the stage for their own empowering moment of glory.”
