Richard Morgan exits AnalogFolk; joint CDs appointed

Global independent creative agency AnalogFolk has revealed Sydney-based executive creative director Richard Morgan is stepping down after three-and-a-half years in the role.

The agency’s creative leadership is now with Naomi Martin and Catherine Tubb, formerly associate creative directors, who have been promoted to joint creative directors. Both have worked closely with Morgan on a number of award-winning campaigns.

AnalogFolk managing director Matt Robinson said: “I can’t thank Richard enough for what he has brought to AnalogFolk with his world-class thinking and breakthrough results for clients.

“Among other awards, he led us to win a gold Effie and over the past three years managed to land seven finalists in what we consider an incredibly important award – creativity that gets results.

“He has also grown, nurtured and helped lead the transition and integration of a fresh creative leadership team.”

Morgan, who is also former ECD of 303MullenLowe and held senior creative positions at DDB, BMF, and AMV•BBDO said: “I’m very proud of being able to help significantly level up AnalogFolk’s growth and creative success in my time here, shoulder-to-shoulder with some talented colleagues and ambitious clients.

“AnalogFolk has a special and inclusive culture at heart, which has helped me to sharpen and develop some incredible creative talent over the past couple of years; now handing the baton onto Naomi and Cat as I embark on a new stage in my career. Being able to deliver innovative work across channels with clients who embrace and understand the power of creativity has been brilliant.”

New joint CD Martin joined the agency in 2020 and has held senior roles in the UK and Australia, including AMV•BBDO, Leo Burnett and Society Social. Her work at AnalogFolk includes award-winning creative for Rekorderlig, Afterpay, TK Maxx and Curtin University. She is also a tutor at AWARD School.

Fellow joint CD Tubb has nearly 20 years’ experience across London and Sydney including roles as associate creative director at M&C Saatchi and Clemenger BBDO, and senior roles at Spatial Sauce, Society Social and Lbi London. Her work has been recognised at shows across the world, most recently at AWARD and AC&E along with Martin for their work on Stoneleigh. Tubb has also launched her own lingerie label Ms. Kensington.

Robinson added: “Both Cat and Naomi bring a thoroughly progressive creative approach to the table, and with their experience across advertising, social media, experiential, branded content and all things digital – I couldn’t be more thrilled to promote them to the joint creative director role, where their experience and passion will make even more of an impact on the next chapter here at AnalogFolk.”

On her new role, Martin said: “Both Cat and I are looking forward to building on Richard’s creative leadership, and to driving creativity, innovation and results at full speed ahead for the agency’s clients,” said Martin.

Morgan will consult with the agency over the coming months, ensuring a smooth handover.
