News DNA appoints Hannah Stenning as head of video

News Corp Australia’s digital publishing division News DNA has appointed Hannah Stenning as head of video.

Stenning, previously news.com.au’s commissioning editor, replaces Adam Boland, who departed News Corp after nine months in the role to join his partner in Canberra.

Stenning will work directly  across news.com.au and whimn.com.au as well as mastheads The Daily Telegraph, The Courier-Mail, The Advertiser and Herald Sun.

She takes on the role after two years as news.com.au’s first commissioning editor, and prior to that spend several years at Nine Network as a producer for the Today show and associate producer for 60 Minutes.

Her predecessor Boland was Sunrise’s former producer.

Julian Delany, managing director of News DNA said it was great to see Stenning take on the new challenge.

“Video consumption across all our sites continues to provide opportunity for consumer and commercial growth.

“We’re approaching the evolution of digital video content supply and associated production frameworks with learnings we’ve been able to unearth via our internal analytics, consumer feedback and official Nielsen numbers. These insights are already yielding upside in both engagement and reach metrics with more growth on the horizon under Hannah’s leadership,” Delany said.
