Steve Price to replace Ray Hadley across Triple M regional network

Australia Today with Steve Price will be heard across Southern Cross Austereo (SCA)’s regional Triple M network in the place of Ray Hadley.

SCA has decided to end its affiliate deal with Nine Radio that saw Hadley’s morning show broadcast across the network, with former 2GB colleague Price to be heard instead from 30 June.

Hadley’s #1 rating 2GB mornings show, which airs from 9am-12pm weekdays, will be replaced by two hours of Australia Today with Steve Price from 9am-11am.

The program airs from 7am-11am on SCA’s LiSTNR app, and a spokesperson for SCA confirmed that the first two hours of the show would remain exclusive to the app.

Each day, Price is joined by Natarsha Belling, and SCA’s new head of regional content, Blair Woodcock, said he’s excited for regional Australia to experience the show.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer our Triple M audience in regional Australia a show with the exceptional Steve Price. Steve is one of the country’s finest broadcasters who is passionate about Australians living outside of the big capital cities and advocates for amplifying their voices and concerns.

“Australia Today with Steve Price will be an audio first with a dual broadcasting strategy across the LiSTNR app and our FM stations that we are excited to be launching.”

Price, who previously hosted 2GB’s national nights and afternoons show, said he is looking forward to connecting with regional listeners.

“We launched Australia Today a couple of months ago and I have been thrilled with the response and am enjoying connecting with listeners across the country and sharing and debating views.

“I am excited to be taking this shift over and extending Australia Today with Steve Price into these markets and Mt Gambier, Toowoomba, Dubbo and Maryborough.”
